Unique Commissions

Each Veedon Fleece carpet is a unique commission; the usual process of 20 carpets all of the same design, all made at the same time is not our creed.

Initially, quotations are submitted and if required, artwork is produced.

Sampling

Once the budget as been approved and qualities chosen, Veedon Fleece are happy to make colour trails of the proposed design. This takes approximately 4 weeks and is free of charge.

Thereafter, the commission is placed and each carpet will have its unique point paper drawn by hand for the group of weavers who will work and oversee the production.

Once the point paper has been drawn up and the yarn dyed, production starts.

Over the years the looms have got bigger, with some commissions measuring as large as 13 meters in length and 6 meters wide.

Pricing Structure

Every carpet produced is carefully budgeted and Veedon Fleece will discuss and wait for final budget approval before commissions are undertaken. In every case a degree of artwork and all other aspects of design and manufacture are absorbed into our basic pricing structure and we always quote for optional extras such as stain resistant treatment, specialist underlay and installation services.

Lead times depend on the size and quality specified, but as a guide, a minimum lead would be 14 weeks from confirmation of sample and receipt of purchase order for a carpet measuring 3.5m in length.

Veedon Fleece carpets are made to be extremely durable and should last for many generations if looked after correctly.

Maintenance details are supplied with each carpet delivered.

Delivery to any UK address is free of charge.  If required we can arrange for delivery worldwide.
